Mycotoxins and aflatoxins which are within this group are substances that should be monitored for human and animal health due to their high toxicity.
The aim of this study is to determine these substances , which can occur at different stages of food production including storage, using HPLC system.
In this study, the determination of Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1 and G2 in hazelnut was carried out using Shimadzu Prominence LC-20A High Performance Liquid Chromatography System and RF-20Axs fluorescence detector unit. Thanks to the temperature control cell, the RF-20Axs detector is not affected by the ambient temperature which results in high sensitivity and reproducibility.
